Sometimes, brides like what they like and unfortunately, their wedding party may not completely agree with their dress choice for them. But on the other hand, you have brides that really do want their bridesmaids to wear that dress again. Recently, I have been seeing a compromise between brides and her bridesmaids with dress choices. This compromise can be easily seen and this compromise has turned into what we are currently seeing bridesmaids wear. And lots of these dress choices and styles have been becoming increasingly popular and quite trendy as well.
A Dress for Every Fit
We all know that everyone has a different body type. That couldn’t be more true and obvious than when your bridesmaids get together for that first dress shopping experience. One of the bridesmaids is more full-figured than another, one is a bit bustier than the rest and one is a good 5 inches shorter than the others. So how do you find a dress that will compliment the entire group of women? One trend that is becoming quite popular is that the bridesmaids are selecting their style of dress that flatters their body, while the bride is selecting the color of the dress. This way all the bridesmaids feel comfortable in what they are wearing and are not locked into fitting into this one style of dress.
Showcasing Your Maid of Honor
The last few weddings that I have attended, the dress which the maid of honor was wearing was different than what the rest of the bride’s wedding party was wearing. She had the same style of dress on, but the color was a slight variant of what the other women were wearing. I thought that this was a beautiful gesture from the bride and you could tell that the maid of honor really felt special and was truly enjoying that title given to her from the bride.
Black and White Weddings Making a Comeback
What is more classic than having a black and white color scheme for your entire wedding? This was all the rage over 10 years ago, but it has been recently making its way back. With the bride wearing a beautiful white wedding gown and the rest of the bridal party wearing black, not only adds that high-class touch of elegance to any wedding, but wedding pictures really pop! By the bride selecting black dresses for the bridal party to wear, it allows the women to wear these dresses again. Everyone needs an extra black dress in their closet for that next special occasion! In most cases, the bride may simply allow the bridesmaids to wear their own black dress shoes or select a pair (this usually depends on the length of the dress). Sparkle the dress up with beautiful jewelry and today’s bridesmaids are bringing black back!
