The time has come where you are now ready to start the planning process for your wedding day! Many details need to be taken care of. One of those includes creating a wedding registry, where guests can get an idea of what to give you as a wedding gift. When creating a wedding registry, there are many special items that are nice to register for, but then there are the items that make sense for you to register for. It is very easy to registry for just about anything you want, but there are some key items that should make it onto your registry.
- A top-quality cutlery set – Knives are used so frequently in the kitchen and for so many different purposes. It is essential to make sure that you do not skimp on knives. Registering for a top=quality knife set, will make sure that you will not need to purchase another one in the future. Also along the same lines, is registering for a carving set as well. If you do a lot of cooking, choosing a high-quality carving set will allow you to slice and dice to perfection.
A flatware set – Register for a service of twelve when choosing a flatware set for your registry. This way you have enough silverware for both you and your spouse, especially on those days that you may not get to the dishes. And you’ll have enough for you when you entertain family and friends. Be sure to register for a quality and durable set. One that is dishwasher safe as well.- An everyday dinnerware set – For those couples who like china or not, it is important to register for an everyday dinnerware set. This will be the most used set and needs to be durable to withstand constant use. Make sure that the sets are dishwasher safe. - Serving dishes and platters – When guests stop by for a visit or when you host your housewarming party, having a variety of serving dishes and platters will present your food beautifully. - Luxurious linens and sheets – Sure you may have a basic set now, but it is rare that you’ll treat your self to a set of high thread count sheets. This is your chance! Register for a few great sets of sheets for your bed and actually for any other bed you may have. If you often have guests staying over, register for a set of sheets for that spare room. Treat yourself to luxurious bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths as well. Make sure to register for a few extra sets, since one set may be in the wash and you may have multiple bathrooms, where you may need towels.
As you can see, there are some basics that simply must be on any wedding registry. But do treat yourself to a few splurge items, once the basics are registered for.
