Their story
Benjamin and Flora met at a party. During an outing to the home of a friend of Flora’s parent in the south of France, Flora quipped, “If one day I get married, it would be here!” 5 years later, on a beautiful day in August, Flora marries her soul mate at the beautiful venue she had set her eyes on, 5 years earlier.
The venue
The location is a type of home named ‘Mas’, located in south of France, in the city of Le Muy. It belongs to friends of Flora’s parents. It was the first wedding to be celebrated in. “It was important to us. We wanted it to be very unique. The garden is very large, with almost 300 olive woods. The weather was nice not too hot and the sky was blue. What we loved the most? To see our guests’ everywhere in the garden, talking, eating, drinking to the sound of the jazz band,” Flora shared.
The theme
“The main theme of the wedding was ‘Vintage Love Birds’ as you can see on the invitation, with dark green and dark pink as colours. We were inspired mainly by American and English weddings. We use a lot of old furniture that we’ve found here. They’re typical old French furniture. The best part for me was the couch and chairs in the middle of the garden. The food was really French, with fishes and “foie gras”, a traditional product.”
The budget
“We didn’t really have a budget, the wedding finally cost around €30,000 . We didn’t have to pay for the venue so we could pay a great photographer, like Marianne Taylor.”
The ceremony
“We’re both catholics so we had a religious ceremony in church, in Marseille. Many things were Do-It-Yourself.”
